Connor Runs The SLC Kids Maraton!

Most people after a half marathon go for water... for my sister, Heidi, she went right for the cell phone to catch up on her text messaging... I still wonder if she wasn't texting during the entire race. :) She finished in 1 hr 49 min and 6 seconds. Way to go, Heidi!

Saturday Connor ran in the SLC kids marathon. I was so proud of him. He ran so fast and got his medal for completing the race. He kept saying “Look, Dad, I won! I won!” The weather was perfect, and we cheered him on from the sidelines….. Unfortunately he was so fast that he made it to the finish line before we did with the camera! But here are some of the shots I DID get. :)

So we can add running to Connor’s list of many physical talents – including swimming at the age of 5, and two wheel bicycling at the age of 4.

Based on where we’re headed - this year, the Salt Lake City Kids Marathon… Next year, the Wildflower Triathlon! :)

  1. ...thanks for posting the dorky picture of me and my phone, AND for your information, the only thing i carried during my race was a mint chocolate access bar--which i ate at mile 8 or so...the secret to a fast finish :)

    Sis,

I said it before, and I'll say it again:

"You always were the most committed runner I knew... Your dedication is inspirational!"

With as good as you are, I wouldn't doubt it if you really could finish a race like that in that type of time, while casually texting your friends and family all along the way.

  1. ...i could...but i didn't :)
