Haunted House

Halloween crept up on us FAST this year, and we hadn’t done much except Frightmares at Lagoon, so we decided to turn Halloween into a Guys Day of fun! We started out by the three of us heading to a haunted house together. It was during the day, so they had the “spooky” parts tuned down for kids. We were just about the only ones there at the time, and it was fun to go through with just the three of us.

Straw Maze.

After the spook alley, we jumped in the car and headed up to local spook-maze. You cant pass by Halloween without going through a corn maze! They’re great fun with little kids! Well, this year I had the chance to go through two, and both were a blast! These pics are with my boys going through… well, not a corn maze, but a straw maze. It was super because it was smaller than the several-acre corn mazes which can sometimes be a little tougher on the little guys.
We got through the maze in about 35 minutes together, the boys had a blast! So much so, that Connor wanted to do it again – he said “I can go by myself this time, dad!” I was worried about him getting absolutely lost, but there was a guide that would walk around up top of the hay bails, and I figured I heard calls for help, or if if he wasn’t out in 45 min, I could jump up top and track him down…

Wouldn’t you know it, he was through the whole thing in about 20 minutes!!! He must have ran the whole way!

Giant Burgers at Big Judds!

After the maize, I took the boys for the first time to Big Judds… a place where they sell giant hamburgers that fill the whole plate. Connor and Rocky LOVE hamburgers! I think it is their #1 favorite food. They’d never been to Big Judds before, and I was excited to surprise them. It was a surprise to them for sure!!! I showed them the people’s pictures on the wall who had eaten the whole burger, and Connor thought he could do it, but we decided to hold off on that till another day, and we all shared a burger and fries.

Later that night we hit the trick or treating!!! It was a blast! Halloween was so warm this year there were several people actually sitting outside on lawn chairs giving out candy. I hope global warming sticks around… I like it a little warmer up here. J

(connor notices how big those burgers are...)

(Rocky's a bit concerned how he's suppose to finish this thing so he can get desert)
